With the PGA Show just days away, we finally pulled the cover back on the ƎVIVE prototype for a few close friends and industry veterans.
We knew the “headliner” features would get attention. It’s hard to ignore a vehicle that charges itself wirelessly or features a touch-sensitive LED floor that reacts as you move. Those are some innovative firsts we’re incredibly proud of. But as our guests began to actually inspect and drive the ƎVIVE, something unexpected happened.
The conversation shifted from all the “flashy” tech to the subtle, deliberate engineering choices we’ve been living with for so long that we’d almost forgotten they aren’t “standard” in this industry.
That was the first and the most recurring feedback. It wasn’t just about speed; it was about the feel. We’ve spent countless hours tuning the combination of our four-wheel independent suspension, full floating rear axle, and custom-matched coil over shock absorbers. When you add power steering to that mix, the rough riding utilitarian “golf cart” DNA disappears. And you’re left with a ride quality fit for the roadway, not just the fairway.
One of the most satisfying but subtle observations? The silence. Most electric carts have a distinct “motor whine.” The ƎVIVE is virtually silent—more akin to a high-end electric sedan than even the best of modern LSVs.
We had an interesting moment with a veteran dealer who remarked about our paint color-matched roof options and voiced the concern: “Beautiful, but owners are going to scratch that paint every time they pull under a standard garage door.” Hearing our response, he actually requested a tape measure to prove his point—and ended up proving ours. We deliberately engineered the amazing molded ƎVIVE roof to sit a few inches lower for exactly that reason, yet because of the seat height and overall design, the vehicle offers just as much or more headroom than almost anything on the market. He had to see the numbers on the tape and sit in it again to believe it.
It’s easy to list things like “Wireless Phone Charging” and a “12.3 Inch Rotating Touch Screen Infotainment Center with App Download Capability” on a feature sheet. But it’s much harder to perfect the driving position or the ergonomic angle of the seats—critical details that are often overlooked until you’ve been in the vehicle for more than a casual test drive.
A few other “small” wins that got big smiles:
Building the ƎVIVE wasn’t just about adding tech; it was about removing the “pain points” of traditional neighborhood EVs. It was incredibly rewarding to hear our friends notice the invisible work—the hours spent on suspension geometry, roof height, and acoustic dampening.
We are officially counting down the days. See the ƎVIVE Chroma Limited Edition, it’s unequalled integrated head to toe voice controlled LED experience, and the wireless charging in person at the PGA Show starting January 18th.
The future of the ride is in the details.
